Tartine in New York

Tartine is a small French bistro in West Village in New York. We went there in July and October 2021 for breakfast.

Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Food is solid. Both times we went for brunch and they were fantastic. We will go anywhere for good Eggs Benedict and we had to go back to Tartine to have some more. The ingredients seemed fresh and the flavor was just right.

Although we only tried their brunch menu, it seems like their dinner menu is also great according to the reviews. It says they are BYOB and cash only(although I’m not sure about this since we paid by card both times).

Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Both times we went to have brunch on Sunday afternoon so it was quite busy but the food came out quickly. The first time we went at 2pm and there was no wait. The second time, we went at 1pm and had to wait for about 15 minutes. Although they are busy with the full restaurant and deliveries going out every now and then, the service was smooth and the staff was nice.

Pricing ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I think the pricing is completely reasonable for solid food and service.

Ambiance ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

They have only a few tables inside, and most of their seats are on the sidewalk. The restaurant space is tiny but the bathroom was clean, which all I care about when it comes to a small bistro type of restaurant like this one. They sat us at the same table outside both times and we couldn’t complain since the weather was fantastic. If you like people watching, you’d love the experience.
