CARD OF THE DAY
CAUSE/EFFECT
You are aware that the love you create in your thoughts is an agent of change and the foundation of your results
For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. That’s a law of physics in this physical dimension. There is also a Universal law of “cause and effect.” The circumstances you are living in at this exact moment are a direct result of all the thoughts that you have created. Thoughts are real; they are made up of energy, color and density, designed and propelled by your intention. The Universe, in turn, will perfectly respond to the thought energy you have created. If you desire a life full of love, happiness, and abundance, you must be mindful of your thoughts, because you are the director of your destiny. Think of yourself as a magnet—attracting to you what you send out. It is imperative that your thoughts be of a high vibration, because the energy of judgment and condemnation will find its way back to you. What you sow, you will reap. So make it a daily practice to monitor your thoughts. Let love be your guide!
7:47 am
I couldn’t sleep until 2 am last night. I couldn’t stop thinking about work. I played a guided meditation in the background as I tried to sleep and after 10 seconds of focusing on the voice and my breath, my mind was back to roaming freely, well not freely, since my mind was a hostage to all my worries, thoughts, and concerns about work.
Why is it so hard to control the mind? When would I be able to control my mind like it’s actually mine? The answer probably is never.
Of course, it was harder to wake up at 5 am today, so I lingered in bed for extra 30 minutes. Finally, I got myself up, lit the candles, burnt the sage and palo santo stick and started on my mat. It was extremely hard to focus on my breath and body today. I stayed in my head throughout many sequences, not even noticing that I was moving.

Yoga is meditation in motion.
Four limbs out of eight limbs of Yoga focus on meditation. So it maybe is more important to control our minds than physical asana.
Even though I know that I won’t be able to control my mind, when my mind is roaming freely, I get nervous and anxious. Because I’m afraid the negative thoughts that I’m having will alter my reality and attract more negative situations in my life.
Maybe my obsession with trying to control my mind is the very reason for my suffering. We have 60,000 thoughts a day on average. I must acknowledge that we can’t control all the thoughts in our mind and that positive thoughts are much more powerful and influential than negative thoughts.
Also, what happens in our mind is a habit, Karma. And we can get rid of bad habits and create new, better ones. I have become more grateful, positive, and happy over time by practicing. I can’t be impatient. One step at a time. If I take care of my mind with love and care over time, positivity will bloom like a rose in May.
